Pros

A good brand was created by the former CEO. There are some solid industry talent in place in Operations. There’s always been a strong effort and focus on taking care of the members.

Cons

Worst onboarding experience I’ve ever went through. Wheels Up doesn’t live up to their Values. Little trust among the employees and management. Several missteps were made in the business model. The company has been circling the drain for much of 2023. The employees were strung along and mostly kept in the dark. Leadership was disjointed and not on the same page. Fortunately, Wheels Up was kept alive by other companies before they filed BK. Still a lot of issues and lack of trust in the business. The new capital seems like a band-aid to buy some more time. All new leaders and lots of people leaving the company. The company loses a lot of money. No profitability. Pay and overall compensation is below average. I wouldn’t bet this company survives beyond 2024. Same brand but all new owners now in place.

Pros

Base cash compensation is above average. Work-life balance can be good as well, depending on the team.

Cons

Some teams are led by toxic managers, and your experience can become very difficult if you end up on one of those teams. Management may appear supportive on the surface, but periodic layoffs create ongoing uncertainty.
