Pros
The residents - they are the only reason I work there and are so wonderful. They are delightful, very thankful and filled with much wisdom and the best stories. They have become true friends that care about my life.
Cons
The employees - the owners and upper management are great, and a few nurses, CNAs and other employees are fine, but the stereotype of the kind of people that work in nursing homes and assisted living homes lives on. There is always drama about some kind of trivial topic, and it gets sickening. People who work here have bad attitudes with each other and the residents, which gets me frustrated the most. The elderly do not deserve people serving them who talk behind their back and complain about most things they are requested of and have to do. The people who work here below upper management are rough-edged and lacking compassion, but can put on a good face when need be - an unfortunate truth at the Whitcomb House.
