Pros
There is genuine talent there which is great experience to work alongside. Good, fun projects often worked on. Food and drink all catered for. There are some very nice people who work there.
Cons
Initially it's fun to work in an office which is very laid back, good humoured, 'part of a family' sort of feeling etc. But quickly you realise that it's rife with dysfunction, there is a definite split between the older bunch and the juniors working there, which leads to, for want of a better word, bullying. All the assistants would work very long hours, unpaid, and often do more work than the more senior workers, particularly production who seemed to spend a lot of their time on Facebook. Relaxed approach to alcohol in the workplace, during working hours. Usual shifts would be 9am-9pm, and often later. Definitely feeling of 'old boys club', and casual sexism the norm. General disorganisation from everyone. The senior management are completely out of touch with modern technology. Woeful compensation.
