Pros

There is a handful of great people at this company- mostly employees not really at the management level.

Cons

The culture is awful at Wiland. There is EXTREME micromanagement (from the CEO down), HR is extremely unapproachable, rude, and has no business acumen. On the day before my last day with the company (after I had put in my two week notice), I was texted me and told not to come in for my last day with no explanation. There are no best practices for anything and consistency with decision making depends on how the leaders feel that day. On top of the extreme cultural issues, there is also little to no opportunity for growth unless you are a "favorite". The company lacks diversity and is not at all a workplace I would recommend for younger workers or people graduating from college and looking for a first job. Essentially, the company is comprised mostly of middle aged white men and decisions around growth, benefits, upward mobility, and hiring, etc. are all made by that group, so I do not see diversity changing within the company any time soon. There is also a very high level of nepotism within the company and hiring decisions are based on who the company "knows" rather than who the actual best fit for the position is. There is a work from home policy within the handbook, but in my position I was never allowed to work from home (there is no consistency across the company). I would not recommend working at this company as the biggest thing I learned while working here is that the grass is not always greener on the other side.

Pros

Great benefits (13ish holidays (?), FTO, $50 wellness stipend, good insurance policy, etc …) Kind coworkers Amazing managers A lot of diversity and acceptance (tattoos being visible, piercings, I saw someone with spaghetti straps lol, etc …) Random incentives! (Summer Fridays where you get out of work a few hours earlier during the summer!! A bonus during the holidays, free lunches, etc …) Monthly town halls to check overall company performance! Remote work :) Very understanding with time off and any medical leave In person orientation was really amazing! Got to have coffee with the CFO, meet the CEO, met a lot of higher ups with a genuine interest in explaining everything, reimbursed for travel and meals, etc …)

Cons

Low pay honestly! It could be better, but since it’s remote it kinda makes up for it A bit disorganized with instructions/training documentation (there’s a lot but it can be difficult to find exactly what you’re looking for!)

Pros

Wiland has some of the best benefits, work/life balance, and people to work with out there.

Cons

The organization is on the 3rd CEO in the first 3 months of the year. They have made numerous layoffs and have been systematically restructuring all departments. It can feel really unstable. The review process was mixed up with an organization change. The result was a new manager, new team, new level of responsibilities but none of that came with the corresponding pay increase that matches the job level. Many are reporting this (or lack of promotion at a time they feel they should have it) and the water cooler talk is that we are feeling exploited and are looking to leave.
