Wilson Amplifiers

Is this your company?

It's a place for people to come in and get paid for a couple of months and leave. - Anonymous employee Wilson Amplifiers Employee Review

Pros

Very laid back environment, freedom to work on your own pace and ability to learn about the products from other employees

Cons

Upper management does not know what they are doing and are winging the whole process, it's basically like throwing things against a wall and seeing what sticks

Pros

Started as a junior copywriter when the company was small. Management saw my potential, told me to keep learning, keep working hard, stay loyal, and that "as we grow, you grow." Three years later, that trust & investment in me and vice versa has led to career fulfillment as new projects are always in the works. I'm now a content marketing manager for the marketing team. Always learning new things. Always finding new challenges. And being financially awarded for it is a definite plus too. The biggest win is definitely the company culture. On the wall are the 3 credos: integrity, customer dedication, and excellence. Those who subscribe to it are the ones who keep growing. Those who don't eventually find themselves somewhere else.

Cons

There are bonuses but based on a discretionary process. Wish there was more transparency based on metrics/sales/data.

Pros

my co-workers are good people and we have a family environment outside of senior management

Cons

senior management has no idea what they are doing and regularly talks bad about employees behind their backs while saying nice stuff to their face. one part of the company mission statement is excellence in execution, which is like the texans slogan being just win baby. lots of talk about greatness and customer service but no real feet to sand on. empty claims & promises. your job will change regularly with no though put into if you want to do it or if you are qualified to do it. the hr department does nothing but gossip and screw around on company time while our benefits get worse each year. the owners family members fall asleep at work in cushy massage chairs while we get yelled at for going 10 minutes over on lunch.
