It was an honor to get a chance to work with so many great artists at this company and I really enjoyed them being mostly open about there direction each month. The game jam was a lot of fun that we did yearly and they treated their employees like adults letting us leave when we needed to do something but make up the time. I was given projects to do and was given the time to pursue my own skills to grow when I had downtime.
Cons
They tend to be cemented in the old software that they had when separating from Kingsisle. Technology has advanced and did not advance with the times I felt. I say the hardest part of working at WIMO was no real sense of mentorship from the other artist at times. I want to improve in my craft and felt like the chances were wasted at times when I could have used some mentorship but I say this is a problem I found with most studios. The hardest part was learning our division was let go without any warning which sucked. I trusted this company to be open and honest but I guess that was foolish of me.
