Pros

I got invaluable experience in this role wearing a lot of hats across several channels of operation. Developing relationships with the vendors and sponsors was a highlight of the role.

Cons

I worked 60+ hours in a high tense environment without the appropriate compensation (which added more stress). I also witnessed unethical behavior from my direct supervisors which ultimately led to my leaving of the company.

Pros

So long I don’t forget my magician walking stick in a bar, life is pretty easy; firining an employee is literally a blast; never get to deal with HR’s bureaucracy. And my long gray hair gets me lots of attention from the ladies.

Cons

I really dislike the fact that this job requires everyone to wear a uniform 24/7. Over the year I came to hate pointy hats of mine

Pros

The travel piece is fun. We get to meet great fans in every locale and they appreciate what we bring.. The non-managerial level staff, for the most part, supports one another. A couple of managers, who have recently had their hands tied, still care about lower level employees.

Cons

Neither the CEO nor the COO have a lick of experience in this genre. Worse yet, the Chairman of he Board, who is really running the company, is arrogant and refuses to listen to anyone. Presenting hard-core facts to support your position is an utter waste of time. He ignores it. The phrase "We're doing ti because Paul wants it" is now the motto. The CEO is clearly disengaged with the staff. The COO is just a blowhard. His opinion changes with the audience. The financials have to be in the toilet given all the consultants they've hired. The VP of Logistics, and the CFO, both brought in by the new team, quit within one week of another. They were voices of reason and not yes-men. .
