Pros
Woolpert has a lot going for it, but also major drawbacks. I’ll try to give a balanced review since it seems like so many are either fake perfect scores with little detail or angry one star reviews. If you see a stream of perfect scores that all just say “great” but no serious details I can almost guarantee they are from people that HR asked to leave reviews to inflate the score. They are always doing that. However a lot of the one star reviews aren’t fair either and sound like they are just from angry people. Pros are: -Family atmosphere. Some teams really care about each other. Some of the kindest people I met. -I liked their response to Covid and they are being flexible for remote work. -big growth opportunities for those in the right roles with the right connections. -good business outlook for infrastructure -international growth (though that brings its own challenges too) -some exciting movers and shakers are influencing the company.
Cons
-Inconsistent standards and treatment for different people. Proposals is treated very poorly and it’s resulting in high turnover. We had several people from our group leave because of burnout, lack of pay, and poor treatment and at the time of my leaving I know several others who are actively searching for a way out. -there is a huge problem with denial and fake positive attitudes. You learn very quick that you can’t be open and as much as they say they like open communication they really don’t. They act like they are the best company in the world and saying otherwise is not welcome. This place is not very psychologically safe. -leadership is nice, but EXTREMELY out of touch.
