Pros

They will pay for some staff member's phone bills (not all).

Cons

The firm has a very archaic law firm mentality. Attorneys treat staff as beneath them and their communication is horrible. You can expect passive aggressive behavior. Attorneys are gossipy and petty. Attorneys have been known to pit staff members against each other, which has been explicitly confessed by the Executive Director. There's a blanant disrespect for staff and their time. Work access on your phone is required. You can expect calls, texts, and emails late into the evening/night. Management lies in interviews and goes back on promises. There's a heavy pressure to bill and you will be manipulated into taking on more work even if your workload is already burdensome. The lack of processes and the horrible file management system (both by practice groups and firm-wide) are alarming. Besides a quick walk-through the first day, they are horrible at training. The firm's policy caps overtime without attorney approval, but you can expect to work unnecessarily long hours. Pay isn't competetive. Benefits are mediocre and have only gotten worse. Medical benefits no longer include an HRA The firm does not pay your premiums. Your 401k contributions don't kick in for about 6 months. It's all really stingy. Bonuses are mediocre. Some paralegals are offered certification courses with a promised bonus when finished but are not actually given the bonus that was promised. Overall, they don't value you or your well-being.
