Pros

What stands out at Workyard is how open leadership is. You always know where the company stands, what's working, and what isn't. That kind of transparency is rare and it builds real trust. Beyond that, you get genuine autonomy, flexibility in how you work, space to figure things out, and room to keep growing. It doesn't feel like a place that caps you. The mission helps too. The team is genuinely thoughtful about the product and who it serves. If you want ownership, honesty, and a team that invests in you, it's a good place to be.

Cons

Coordinating across time zones can get tricky at times.

Pros

* Comp was decent. Not great but decent. * Not a whole lot of meetings. * Some interesting challenges to tackle. * Generally good coworkers.

Cons

* Constant micromanagement from leadership, which will treat you more like a tool they can insert into some system to solve whatever problem they think they have this week. * Leadership absolutely does not view you as a person of value unless you're part of the original circle of super-friends who started the company. * You will lose a lot of self worth working here, because nothing you ever do well will be appreciated, and everything you fail to fix immediately will be carped on for months. * There is NO career opportunity beyond the job you get when you join the company. I've yet to see anyone be promoted, mentored, or supported in any way when they tried to do anything not on the micromanaged list of tasks provided every week. Every attempt I made to take on more work in my department way rejected with a sense of outright contempt, as though I would dare to step out of the box they designed for me at the beginning. I was pigeonholed from day 1 in a way that cut this company off from legitimate growth opportunities. * They do not care about you as human beings, especially in the marketing department. I lasted longer than everyone else solely because I didn't have a better offer to escape to.
