Pros

Multicultural work environment that has the potential for diverse opinions to guide decision making, talented people with a wide range of skills and experiences which add value to almost all staff who work with the institution, strong staff association that speaks for staff, respectful work environment, travel for work and therefore getting the opportunity to learn first hand what happens around the world, staff with excellent qualifications, many from some of the best institutions and colleges in their fields, staff have the opportunity to work in diverse areas if they have the qualifications thus allowing them to stay in the institution for long periods of time.

Cons

Highly beraucratic therefore making it difficult to take timely decisions, lack of focus on staff development for all categories of staff, difficult to feel valued in mostly large teams, lack of clarity in the determination of salaries, lack of clarity on the basis for promotions, lack of competitive in recruiting the best as in some regions, salary scales are below what markets are ready to offer for those with high skills, there is more effort in identifying and recruiting talent but many times there is no further focus on their development, the institution is not very good at embracing change
