Managers lack leadership abilities, ethics, and are manipulative. Managers also seem to be more likely to feel threatened by subordinates and therefore less likely to provide necessary career development/training opportunities. Employees here have career growth stunted due to horrible management.
Some kind colleagues and some others that you are better off not knowing.. Unfortunately, if the latter are in good with management and/or they have decent performance metrics, your complaints of mistreatment may fall on deaf ears.
HR isn’t much better as they end-up defending the very people they are supposed to help stop.
