Pros
I have grown a lot as a result of working here. Some of that has come directly from my job responsibilities. Some has actually come from the challenges the company has faced over the last 2.5 years. And some has come in an effort to progress within the company and my career. The company has made a lot of process and management changes recently that I feel are moving the whole ship in the right direction. There is a lot of knowledge and experience among the various executives and managers. There has been recent improvement in investment in individual employees (or accelerators, as we are called). This has come in various forms- salary raises, more/better benefits, training courses/tools, culture and perks. While the product has bugs/issues, what it actually can (and does) do is pretty amazing when you think about it. I've been able to advance through several positions since starting 2.5 years ago, resulting in increased professional growth, personal growth, financial growth, etc. While there are always other factors at play, if you have a solid, honest work ethic and prove that you can get things done, you will advance and do well. A consistent track record of success and hard work will do you wonders if/when you ask for a raise. And in my experience, sometimes the raises came without asking. Generally speaking, the people that work here are brilliant, fun, and engaging.
Cons
The product has had some significant issues historically, and still does occasionally. However, there has been great effort spend over the last year to address this (with success). As always, still some work to be done here. Career paths are not always defined (if at all). This can be frustrating at times and make you feel like you might be stuck in one place forever. However, I have not found this to actually be a limiting factor for me personally, as I've continued to advance into new or different roles as the company grows and changes. Some of the metrics for bonuses are out of your control and in the hands of other individuals and/or departments. There are still things you can do to influence these metrics and I've never had a big issue with it, but on the occasion when I miss a bonus due to something that was entirely out of my control, it irks me.
