Pros
Xandros has interesting products in interesting technicals niches (app stores, server management, messaging, unified communications). If you're interested in working in a challenging environment in these technicals areas, then you'd like the tasks assigned to you.
Cons
As interesting as the work may be, Xandros has a habit of not paying their employees. At one point, they had more than 100 employees working on a variety of software. Unfortunately, in 2009, they decided that they didn't have to pay those employees. Most of those employees quit in early 2010. All of the employees are still waiting for Xandros to pay the Ontario government the minimum severance required by law.
Currently, the company has only 6-8 remaining employees (still not getting paid) who recently got kicked out of the offices that are posted on their website (because they stopped paying rent). Fortunately, those offices were terrible. Half of the desk chairs were broken. There was mold on the walls from water leaking in during the winter.
So, if you'd like to work on interesting technology, without getting paid, this is the place for you. If you do like to get paid for your work, I'd recommend somewhere else.
