Pros
Xcel provides a critical service within the US
Cons
Benefits are mediocre at best; for example, there's only ONE high deductible medical plan that requires employees to pay a hefty out of pocket before coverage kicks in. PTO is mediocre with slow accrual. 3x in office required, $20 to park daily as company doesn't pay for parking, office is in Denver which is increasingly becoming more congested and crime-ridden. Management is self serving and narcissistic, does not care about leading and providing direction to staff, very hands off, you will not get feedback or be groomed for growth in the company, no mentorship, not a team player culture, the list goes on. Pay is also mediocre compared to similar roles elsewhere. There is no incentive to make a career at Xcel.
