Understaffed and lack of management support - Anonymous employee YRC Freight Employee Review

I worked here several years and almost the entire time we were on forced overtime. When people got let go or left, they would not hire replacements but just add more work and hours onto remaining employees. There is no path for advancement here and half the time you do not even know who your department manager is. They are sending more and more clerical jobs overseas and it’s not uncommon to just not see your coworker anymore because they were quietly laid off. Most people in most clerical departments at least, have worked there several years and are jaded and rough around the edges. Not a positive environment.
