Pros
They pay really good. Insurance isn't as expensive as other carriers. The labor are all veteran guys that know what needs to be done and most have 10+ years driving a lift. There are a lot of good people here that still care and are great. But they are becoming few and far between. If this company was Roadway ran and operated it would be a successful company again.
Cons
The amount of training they give you is virtually learn as you go. Daily beat downs from upper management on goals you have zero control of. The experienced labor is Union and lazy (mostly the old Yellow hats). You can't manage the labor, only issue letters to them when you can't get them to work and they just throw them away when they get them. The 511 Irving terminal is the worst terminal in the entire company because the union being so strong. They have turned over 40 supervisors and managers in a year. Why? Lack of training and an ADO that verbally assaults and embarrasses lower leadership on a daily basis instead of asking what needs to be done to get better results. When the goals aren't met they demand front line management to issue discipline instead of the real reason goal wasn't obtained. Stay away unless you can deal with being a manager and not being able to manage anything or have control of the operation. Very low 401k match at 1% almost a joke.
