Pros
1. The tasks assigned were generally aligned with my job scope as a Lab Technician. 2. The role provided some exposure to laboratory operations and routine technical work. 3. The salary is generally decent and consider on the higher side compare to market.
Cons
1. Disorganized management: Many processes and decisions revolved heavily around the boss’s instructions, which could change almost instantly from day to day. This made it difficult to maintain consistent workflows. 2. Limited process improvement: Although there were opportunities to improve certain procedures and make work more efficient, it was difficult to implement changes due to top-down directives. 3. High staff turnover: Over time, the company experienced a noticeably high employee turnover rate, which affected team stability. 4. Workload beyond job scope: Additional workloads and ad hoc tasks that were not originally part of a Lab Technician’s responsibilities were gradually assigned. 5. High stress environment: The increasing workload and lack of clear processes eventually led to significant stress, leaving me mentally and physically drained. 6. Office culture: The environment often felt highly political, with many employees focusing on protecting their own positions rather than collaborating.
