Pros
An excellent organization. Management cares about their employees and their customers. And my fellow employees care about each other and the customers too. Education is emphasized with on-going classes being promoted on a weekly basis. When I started -- I'm a remote employee -- I was in contact with someone from HR the very first thing to make sure I had a proper orientation and I then I was in contact with someone from HR continually for the first month (yes, they truly cared about someone in the field). Someone was reaching out to me at all times to make sure that I was "connected". And everyone is approachable -- whether it is product, service or management, I feel comfortable asking questions without fear of feeling stupid or being hazed. Every contact I've had, from the front desk to senior management, has made me feel warm and welcomed. That's more than I can say for a lot of companies. I've already referred friends to look at our website for open opportunities. Yardi is a great company and I'm glad I got on board.
Cons
This is going to sound kind of strange, but the biggest detriment is probably also one of the greatest attributes: they're based in Goleta, north of Santa Barbara. It is an absolutely beautiful place to be...which means: who the hell wants to sit in meetings at the office? I would rather be at the beach!
