Unlike many newsrooms, we are able to maintain professionalism and good working relationships with co-workers while having fun.

The pay isn't enough to keep folks who might otherwise stay on the job.

Great team atmosphere makes being at work a joy. It's wonderful to interact with the city's principal players, local business people, school faculty, staff, coaches and students on a daily basis. Knowing our paper is providing folks with valuable information is a great source of pride.

There is poor leadership from the top. It's the underpaid employees who keep the ship upright while the boss plays.
