I've been working at York IE's India office, and honestly, it's been one of the best places I've worked as a Software Engineer. What I appreciate most is the culture. The leadership team genuinely cares about employees and creates an environment where people feel valued and supported. It doesn't feel like you're just another employee—your ideas are heard, your work is recognized, and there is always encouragement to learn and grow. From an engineering perspective, the company follows strong development practices, promotes code quality, encourages knowledge sharing, and gives engineers the freedom to take ownership of their work. I've had opportunities to work on challenging projects, learn new technologies, and collaborate with talented teammates who are always willing to help. The focus on continuous learning and improvement has helped me grow significantly as a developer. Another thing that stands out is how approachable and supportive the HR and other departments are. Whenever employees need assistance, guidance, or support, they are always accessible and willing to help. It creates a workplace where people feel comfortable reaching out and know they will be heard. The company also puts a lot of effort into employee engagement and building a sense of community. One of my favorite initiatives was a special event where employees' parents were invited to visit the office, take a tour, meet the teams, and participate in various activities. It was a thoughtful gesture that made families feel connected to our workplace and showed how much the company values its people beyond just their professional contributions. The employee experience is excellent overall. The company provides breakfast, snacks, and refreshments throughout the day, along with indoor games, PlayStation, team events, and other activities that make office life enjoyable. These things may seem small, but they contribute to a positive atmosphere where employees genuinely enjoy spending time together. What stands out most is the balance between professional growth and employee well-being. York IE invests in both, which is something you don't find everywhere. The combination of a strong engineering culture, supportive leadership, approachable HR, great colleagues, and employee-focused initiatives makes it a truly rewarding place to work.
