Pros
-Super casual: crude banter, drug-taking, long toilet breaks (good for vaping) and general monkeying around are permitted. -They'll take anyone so if you're down on your luck give it a shot. -Relatively relaxed about language, punctuality and call volumes for a call centre.
Cons
-Wages and especially bonuses are regularly forgotten or taken away for arbitrary reasons. When I was massively overachieving on one campaign I was moved to another, more difficult one. -It'll take anyone so there are some very trashy employees. Think face tattoos and one girl that left to become an escort. -Terrible infrastructure. Up to an hour each day lost to faulty IT and phone systems. Some of the IT workers are lovely but none seemed particularly enthusiastic or able to fix things. -Some of the products (usually financial products) are terrible: either dishonest or low quality. They use embarrassing marketing tactics and a glance at any objective review site will reveal the flaws in the company. -The Directors of the company transparently don't care about the employees. It's purely about the profits and though training schemes and promotions to management are often mentioned they never materialise and all managers are hired from outside. -It's in Portsmouth. -it's telesales.
