Pros

I have worked for Yu Energy coming up to 8 years and can honestly say i have never had any issues. Reading previous reviews stating that we are overworked and underpaid i think this is a massive exaggeration. When joining a company you are expected to work to earn your wage. Unfortunately alot of people dont have this mindset and think that it is a playground, We are a striving energy company that at certain times of the month we are under pressure due to queries that need rectifying. This is the time to show how hands on you are and show you can work as part of a team. The people are lovely ranging from the domestic staff to the CEO. Everyone is treated the same where i am concerned.

Cons

Carparking in the leicester area but this is something we cant rectify due to the location.

management toxic, hide behind smile but like to discuss issues behind whispers. take things personally. mad atmosphere for no reason other then there personally vendetta.

A few nice people worked here.

Honestly this was the most broken and corrupt company I have ever worked for. Understaffing leading to burnout was huge. Other teams expected to pick up the slack for teams which were deliberately understaffed with no benefits for doing so. Training was NON EXISTENT. I taught myself and an apprentice how to do the job at the same time. The set time frame for process I was put in charge of was 3 days. It was taking me 1-2 months to get to each new process request. I was working on this alone and also expected to do Customer service calls all day. This should have been a 3 person team working on it full time. This was relayed to managers who did nothing. Further to this, the company were scamming customers constantly! The abuse of the system was unreal. Overcharging for energy, giving customers no way to get in touch and rectify their bill, then penalising them by hundreds of pounds of which if they refused to pay, their energy would be cut off. This left businesses with no electricity or gas. The morals of this company are out the window. HR were friendly on the surface but were very catty and so far up the managers behinds that you couldn’t take anything to them.
