Pros
Nice people: *Incredibly* nice. Like, change-a-coworker's-tire-in-the-parking-lot nice. Cross-functional cooperation!: Getting a frontend developer to solve a problem on the blog is just a matter of sending a quick slack. Teams aren't siloed and it makes the product better and the projects more interesting. A chance to move the needle: Small company = big chances to make stuff happen. True work-life balance: Need to leave at a certain time to pick your kid up? You're in good company! I've never had a meeting scheduled before 9 or after 5 in the time I've been here, not even with colleagues in other time zones.
Cons
I definitely gained 5 lbs right after I started at Yummly - between the catered lunches, the "snack wall" and people bringing in recipes they're testing for the platform, it's dangerous (but delicious). But: Totally worth it.
