Pros
We are a student-first organization that is changing the lives of millions of kids across the US! The challenge of building a math curriculum that is accessible to as many kids as possible is a dream come true and to be able to do so within an organization that is so passionate about building the next generation of contributing, successful members of society is beyond humbling.
Cons
We are still relatively small and growing quickly, which comes with growing pains. That said, our ELT is doing all they can to lead us through this period of growth without losing our identity or core values. As is true within any organization/team, growth is accompanied by the risk of losing your identity, which ironically is what catalyzed the growth. The need to provide new members with historical and institutional knowledge increases and doing so in an authentic and meaningful way can be challenging. I trust that our ELT will stay true to their convictions and the values that Zearn was built around.
