Not as expected - Anonymous employee Zego Insurance Employee Review

Thanks for being on the team and sharing a review. Zego continues to experience incredible growth and scaling as a business and there is certainly a buzz. At Zego we value collaboration and contributions from diverse teams. We want all Zegons to include and seek input from people across a wide variety of backgrounds and make a habit of asking questions. This can sometimes slow our decision making process however we believe it's for the greater good in the long run. There is a balance to strike between empowering people to make decisions and asking for input. To get this balance right, we will continue to define and improve our business processes and decision making processes that encourage different departments to work together effectively, with clear boundaries, while creating an inclusive environment. I am sorry that your experience of our culture did not resonate with you. Especially as Zego is “flexible first” (allowing Zegons to work where they wish, how they feel the best), we are driving/experimenting different initiatives and organizing events and online interactions to reinforce a sense of true belonging- where everyone can bring their best self to work, all voices are heard, and friendships that go beyond Zego can be forged.
