Pros
I’m with acQuire for three years now. It has changed my view of how a technology company can be run. We make a very good product (Or at least that is my assumption since companies buy it, even in a global downturn). I don’t agree with all leadership decisions being made, but I know I can make a difference if I speak up and get involved. I can challenge other’s ideas here as long as I remain constructive. Having that option is more valuable to me than a fixed time table, employee perks and a lifelong job. All the emphasis on culture, perks and people is not hot air. What surprises me is, that despite the encouragement to think for themselves and to act self-directed, some people will still just go to work to collect a pay check. It’s a choice I don’t make and I see it as a place to challenge yourself and grow.
Cons
Sales and management are in an ongoing process of restructure since I’m with acQuire. Leadership changes and the industry downturn have defiantly made an impact on the company. Where it is supposed to go is currently not spelled out very well or creates confusion.
