Cons
Head office is a dump Pay is shocking Management terrible Workloads are unsustainable The physical office where you are expected to work is a complete dump, toilets don’t work and don’t lock, leaks from every place you can imagine, including from the toilet upstairs into the kitchen downstairs. It’s near an actual dump too so flies and wasps constantly buzz round the office in the summer. Parking is a problem with people having to block each other in and play Tetris at lunchtime every day to let each other out. The floor is wonky in many places, door handles falling off all the time, ceiling tiles missing, brown stains everywhere. I don’t understand how this building is not derelict. All the managers started at the bottom and worked up. While this is a good thing in many companies, the management team have had no management experience outside of advo which has resulted in a toxic and unprofessional group of “managers” and directors that don’t know what they’re doing. this awful leadership team has resulted in very high turnover. Don’t bother making friends here, they’ll leave before you learn their last name. Many of the staff are lovely, but all except 2 of the ones who you have to report are not. Towards the end of my time with advo my pay was wrong on several occasions, and I am still paying off the tax I owe to HMRC that this company got wrong. They sell payroll as a service to other businesses (all I can say to this is lol). Unless you’re absolutely desperate, I would never advise working for this laughable company
