Pros
Boodle has honestly ruined me for most other companies in the best way possible. The flexibility and trust are incredible, especially as a parent. The company is very family-forward and genuinely supportive of building work around your life and kids instead of pretending they don’t exist. I’ve been able to bring my children to off-sites, and there’s a level of understanding and humanity here that’s hard to find elsewhere. The team is extremely smart, collaborative, and mission-driven. You feel like your work matters, and there’s a lot of room to grow, innovate, and contribute beyond a narrow job description. If you like moving fast, solving hard problems, and being surrounded by ambitious people, it’s an exciting place to be.
Cons
The intensity is real. We’re a small, highly capable team competing in a rapidly evolving AI industry against much larger companies, and that pressure can absolutely bleed into work-life balance at times. Priorities can shift quickly, expectations are high, and there are periods where the workload can feel relentless. This is probably not the right environment if you want a slow-paced or highly structured corporate job with rigid boundaries. The flexibility goes both ways — you’re trusted with autonomy, but there’s also a strong sense of ownership and urgency that can be mentally demanding.
