Pros
Benefits are stellar, including 401(k) and pension plan. Salary is competitive for the industry. There is significant growth potential into the middle ranks if you're willing to switch your career path around, and be willing to move around the country a lot (especially to Houston).
Cons
Management is very disconnected from day-to-day operations; you won't hear from them unless there's a significant problem. Policies are created with little to no input from the front line workers and therefore are overly burdensome and ineffective. Too much emphasis is placed on process and paperwork rather than results. Much time is spent on administrative tasks instead of value-added work. Requires excessive hours (expect 50-60 per week) just to keep up.
