Pros

I joined deVOL as a bench joiner 11 years ago having previously worked in a different manufacturing industry. The company then was small, but the work was consistent, fast paced and the growth in the first year was there for all to see. I could see the potential for members of staff to progress so worked hard and went above and beyond to put my name forward. My hard work was rewarded by becoming a workshop manager. As the years went by the work and workforce continued to grow, this gave further chance for myself and others to develop as well as the company itself as it showed continuous growth year after year. The faith shown in me by the managing director along with senior management, to guide, develop and grow as a person and colleague has been amazing as is a testament to them. Most recently the company signed all staff up to help@hand, which gives access to remote gps, physiotherapy and mental health help that may be required. They have also done the same with a life insurance policy which hopefully, won't ever be used but is a positive for staff members next of kins. The company also provides a summer and christmas party, along with two seperate team building activities which can be used anytime during the year. Holiday allowance has also been increased along the board along with staff priveleges. My time at deVOL has been nothing short of positive and I look forward to continue growing personally and helping the company grow.

Cons

break times could be abit longer.

Interesting place to work with a lot of creative energy. The people are friendly overall and there’s always something different going on, which keeps the job from feeling repetitive. Good experience for anyone who likes a hands-on environment and wants to learn.
