Pros

eQHealth Solutions is a nice place to work. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. It is a real team environment with Care Coordination, Business Development, Analytics, and IT collaborating extensively. Recently EQ executed a strategic shift, moving from a healthcare consulting model to a hosted services model. EQ leverages technology developed for internal use to provide structure to our clients’ data, giving them actionable information. Naturally this shift in focus fostered fear and uncertainty, but it also created opportunities in a changing and competitive environment. To match its change in strategic focus, EQ has changed its organizational structure. EQ is still growing. Key positions are still being filled. New positions are being created and old processes are being streamlined making us more lean and agile. From my perspective, compensation is fair and competitive. Benefits for the employee are excellent. The work environment is casual. The dress code is business casual.

Cons

Before my tenure, during the strategic shift, moral was low. Some felt slighted or unappreciated. Many who left EQ still feel animosity. Luckily, management has gone to great lengths to heal the wounds. EQ is still growing and evolving. Key positions are still being filled. With a new CFO and soon a new CEO, growing pains are inevitable. eQHealth Solutions is relatively unknown. Attracting clients and employees is still difficult. Even in a community as small as Baton Rouge, attracting potential employees is difficult because they have never heard of us. They do not know what we do or what opportunities are available.
