-Incompetent management. This is more evident in some departments and some of the higher ups in the company only have their position because they’re friends with the right people. They’re not necessarily bad people, but it just seems that they are out of their league.
- Unrealistic deadlines. Management won’t listen if you tell them you think a deadline is unrealistic. When the deadline is not met, the CEO will then send an email out to the company essentially blaming the employees for coming up with the deadline and saying it’s not managements fault (meanwhile, everyone who I talked to had no idea where the original deadlines came from). They’ll also tell you that the success and future of the company literally depends on certain projects being completed by certain dates as a way to ‘motivate’. However, in my time there there was never a major project that was completed even remotely close to the original deadline.
- People have been dropping like flies from the company recently. The energy and hope that this company had 2-3 years ago is long gone.
- HR will gossip about employees. Don’t go to them in you have any issues.
- Your experience depends entirely on which team you’re on. Some are actually pretty good, but others are awful.
- Lots of issues with the customer support team, but that’s already covered in a bunch of other posts so I won't go into detail.
- Below average pay and benefits. It’s also nearly impossible to get a raise. (I knew people who have been at the company for over 2 years who have never gotten a raise).
- There’s weird rivalries between certain departments.
