Pros
Exc
Whatever seems not to work gets attention with periodic go/no go reviews, ellent smart professional team, nice office environment - joined as contractor sales primarily phone and email - Slack and Pipedrive rule. Well qualified to hot leads from FB; I became FT sales $.
Compared to large companies, the start-up pace and data driven decision making with disclosure at weekly all-hands meetings was fantastic. System and organization changes were smoothly adapted by a tight and well suited team.
however new management direction more hierarchical less start-up style; more conventional policy drivers.
Adding services and territory so lots of opportunity to contribute in almost every department. My position dissolved with a fair to generous exit package. I like those guys!
Cons
Customer Support in this industry always a little wobbly; sub-contracting new services added headaches. Sales at times got thrown into being project managers. Pipedrive was heading to disuse for a more customer service resolution less CRM/sales system. Biggest CON - my salary/commission got too high!! new mgr switched back to using remote contractors! Bye Bye friends.
Hired as a contractor you're forced to use Upwork which takes a huge percentage of your pay.
Open office environment usual pros and cons - sales and engineering in the same room compete for a quiet place to do their thing.
