Pros
- Subsidize housing/dormitory - Visa-sponsorship - Admin/HR helps with daily necessities especially when Japanese is required.
Cons
- not updated on technology - Required to render 45 hrs/month overtime but no payment - 45 hrs / month overtime is masked as prepaid OT which is paid but inconsistent with the contract which should be optional - Not allowed to go home even if already finish with the tasks - Overtime is more important even if you don't finish anything rather than finishing something earlier or on time - Unclear evaluation. Highest evaluation (we) know they given is below average - There is no clear management style. - Always trying new process instead of sticking to one and improving on it. - Employees are rotated on different project without any explanation - Manager not doing managerial work - minimum salary (in terms of IT Salary in Japan) - "Early In/ Early Out" policy is implemented but only "Early In" followed. - All internal project improvements are not considered as part of developers effort for the project. Not billed. - Roles are not defined. Some developers are doing managerial works. Tech leads are managers and developers. Managers don't do anything other than report or translator. - Some of the new hired employees do not know how to speak English. Some managers also don't know how to speak English.
