Cons
If you're not a white male you're not going to get very far — especially if you're not a white male who has been working here for 30+ years. It's a boys club through and through and it's hard to break barriers and move up in the company. On that note, the CEO just boasted about iHM's FIRST-EVER maternity policy in the company's history. If that doesn't tell you everything you need to know about how they feel about people who can get pregnant, then I don't know what to tell you. I and many of my coworkers have been here for years without a pay increase and being downright told we're not getting more money while higher-ups live lavish lifestyles. Meanwhile, during the height of the pandemic three of the males on our mostly female team were given promotions and raises. HR was useless in helping pay discrimination and favoritism. Execs here treat iHM as a "you should be grateful you work here" place rather than "we're lucky to have you." Never the leader on social justice issues and responses to that such as BLM, Stop Asian Hate, etc. Waited for competition to make statements then after employees sounded off about our disappointment they finally made a blanket statement (all while getting millions of dollars off the likes of Rush Limbaugh and people like him). Uses Black employees as tokens. Even the "Chief Diversity Officer" is a white woman. Make it make sense! Most of us are still here only because we can't get out/haven't been able to find a new job. If you're thinking of working here because you'll get perks and "it can't be that bad" I'm telling you it is "that bad" and you won't get perks. Employees don't even get a free Premium iHeartRadio account let alone access to events.
