Pros
Get to meet some interesting talent. That's about it really.
Cons
I worked for the Katz Media division in NYC. It's part of the iHeartMedia group. The CIO made sure his senior management were looked after and didn't care about anyone else in his group. There is most definitely panic mode with the senior management here. All desperately trying to justify their existence within the company, before they get laid off/fired. More concerned about showing reports on how many "tickets" they resolved, rather than worrying about the quality of service they give. The user base complain all the time about how the service from IT has dropped considerably over the past couple of years. There is a huge bullying culture within the group and HR does zero about it, because once again, the CIO makes sure his senior management are protected. We built a valid case against one of the VPs, with evidence and everything. Yes he used to threaten to stab people in his team. I kid you not. HR did nothing about it, because the CIO stepped in and covered it all up. The health benefits iHeart offers, is probably with worst I have ever seen for a company of this size. Poor coverages, very high deductibles and the worst prescription plan you have ever seen. You have to shop all around the US to find the cheapest place for your medication. Sometimes I would have to order medication from some tiny pharmacy in the middle of Nebraska and I live on the other size of the country. WTF is that all about?
