Pros

Easy to schedule classes Materials provided for classes After a few weeks you are able to build regular student classes Fairly comprehensive teaching platform Easy to use software Work from any where (Adjust for the timezone) For an experienced teacher, supervision is very hands off which is nice.

Cons

Starting base pay is low, will scale up with more classes taught a week and tenure but for part time, the returns are relatively low. Technical issues can happen and reaching out to tech support out of class software was not clear or very responsive. Mixed ability group classes can occur for occasional classes. Though materials are comprehensive, some are dated or not aesthetically/thematically suited to the age groups you're asked to teach at times. The lessons are mostly a slide show with some interactive options such as drawing tools and other simple features. I would have liked to have seen more integrated interactivity built into some of the lessons that students can touch or click. Especially for the younger groups so they can engage better with the materials. Like buttons, sliders, spinning wheels, sounds etc. Not great support for a newer teacher.

Pros

remote, pick your own shifts

Cons

terrible pay, unfair review system (a kid would rate you and if they didn’t want to take the class, they just gave you a bad rating)
