Pros

- The people you work with excluding the management are the only reason to work for this company. - Employee's are the backbone to this company.

Cons

- Paid Monthly (sometimes not on time or given excuses as to why an employee isn't paid on time.) - Doesn't really supply computers to work on - expects you to bring your own if you have it. - Management too cheap to pay for supplies for the office/ or pay a cleaning person to clean it/ or pay for a garbage bin. - Unclear expectations, Un-prioritized work - you never end up working on the same thing for long, continuously switches. - Pretends to give incentives to get employee's to work faster but refuses to pay up when apparent incentive goal expires. - No room to grow/ No positive feedback/ No feedback given in general. - Relies on grants. - Employee morale is usually low, as management drags its own company down. - There is no HR, no real management, company calls itself a start up but has been around for 7 years. - Management tries to convince employee's there applying for a specific position to end up doing the same as everyone else in the office. - Management favours certain employee's allowing them to permanently work from home- but expects everyone else who works for him to always be in the office basically a double standard. - High turn over rate - no real employment opportunity as people are constantly leaving (5 people left within my first 6 months, due to management unprofessionalism/ incompetence.

Pros

-Work closely with CEO -Young and energetic coworkers, as most are students

Cons

-Unbelievable lack of focus- is it a data or saas company? -Inconsistent pay, was late by weeks almost every month. This DESTROYED team morale -Unpaid vacation, little to no perks you expect from a startup, including team nights -Ppl often paid for basic office supplies, such as hand soap or toilet paper or kitchen supplies, out of pocket and were not reimbursed

Pros

very flat company - will work alongside CEO, full-time employees, and interns making communication and collaborative work a possibility

Cons

needs better structure and direction - everyone seems like they're on different pages in terms of goals. Even though everyone is working in the same room, you'll have to take initiative to promote good communication and collaborative work across disciplines. Biweekly meetings were not enough to keep everyone on track. Feelings on being lost in the work and the purpose of the happened often.
