Pros

Annual offsite to Spain and then France. Being behind the scenes of taking a company from 0 to 1. Typical startup chaos environment that you can thrive in if you love to build

Cons

Company lacks diversity but seems like they’re working on that now given how last year went. Worst of all, some of the leadership lacks emotional intelligence and self awareness. Thankfully some of the toxic sales and marketing leaders in particular have left the company now so things in GTM are starting to feel more bearable. It was bad to the point where many of my colleagues were actively seeking out new roles and even some of the best ones left the company. We’ve had a revolving door of new leadership over the last 2 years but hopefully the newer ones are here to stay. If you’re looking to work for an inspiring visionary leader or build a new category-defining product, this company is probably not a good fit for you. Not to mention, most of the company are people in their 20s- early 30s without kids. If you’re a parent or if you want to have kids I would look elsewhere or do more due diligence (especially on the parental leave policy and how payouts work). People have said and done questionable things that might not fly with a more robust HR team. It’s probably because of how young and immature some of the employees are, as well as the talent/people team. The people can be very catty, gossipy and clique-y (especially the people/talent team, which is ironic) so it doesn’t always feel like a productive work environment. Lot of layoffs last summer and it sucked to see some of my favourite colleagues go. Really hit our company morale and they paid out very high severance packages to some people to keep from getting sued. Many of the reviews on here are from when the talent team was trying to build out the company’s reputation and asked everyone to give the company a good rating. The people who’ve had negative experiences and left have mostly left quietly. If you really want to work here I’d recommend finding and reaching out to former employees to get a more balanced picture of the company. Not all that glitters is gold.

Hello, Thank you for providing feedback on your experience here; there's no doubt working in a fast-growing start-up comes with it's challenges, which isn't always for everyone. I'm sorry to hear your tenure hasn't been a positive one, but I appreciate your honesty. To address a few points that you raised: 1. Supporting parents and parents-to-be is something we genuinely care about: we offer highly generous paid parental leave policies for both our UK & US employees (that go well beyond statutory/state requirements), along with childcare stipends to provide financial support towards childcare costs. 2. We've always prioritised supporting employees during transitions between jobs by offering severance packages above and beyond what is required. I'd like to clarify that these decisions were made out of a commitment to the team's wellbeing, and not in a response to any legal action or concerns 3. We value all feedback employees share on Glassdoor. We want to be clear that we have never pressured or coerced employees to write positive feedback and all reviews received are understood to be genuine experiences and opinions of folks that have worked here. We do not get things right 100% of the time, but please know I'm always striving to make incident an excellent place to work. I appreciate openly discussing your frustrations might feeling daunting but if you're open to discussing any of this further, please reach out to me and I'd be happy to chat. Stephen (CEO)
