Pros
The work we do, and how we do it, are equally important here. The team is fantastic and inclusive. There is a ton or respect for one another, and what each person brings to the table. Everyone works together in unison contributing towards the same mission. There are no egos, just people. I've been fortunate to have been in many companies building something early stage, but no place has compared to the experience I am having. Start-ups are demanding, but work-life balance hasn't been an issue - I think in part because the milestones are very deadline driven, so we're building backwards from go-live, allowing control over how you choose to manage your time. I know what you're thinking, this person is on the HR/People Team. They HAVE TO say only good things. I can assure you, this post is genuine. The bottom line is I would never want to mislead anyone into a company where they would not be happy.
Cons
The industry is heavily regulated (for good reason) and it can be a lot to come into a totally new model of care and absorb it all. It's not actually a con, just reality. The good news is, the team here all are very supportive and collaborative, so you learn what you need to and quickly can get comfortable.
