Pros

Many coworkers are great and the benefits are decent. Lots to learn about the company with the size and global complexity of the organization.

Cons

Complex organization that has not perfected a global footprint. Unfortunately experiences and support are highly dependent on management and the actual departments perceived importance to doing business. Certain departments get a lot of support and it's much easier to navigate and speak frankly. In some areas the processes and systems are manual, causing significant burn out without the chance for actually increasing head count more than just barely what is needed to keep your head above water. Some management simply cannot prioritize and are so worried about upsetting people, the ability to complete something is very difficult for their employees. Any improvements costing money are very slow to be approved and implemented. The closer management gets to the C suite the more yes people are expected and looked for, so if you are dealing with burnout and voicing concerns after many years of the same results that is beyond your scope or better yet you simply don't have enough time to address due to all the manual work, be ready to be labeled difficult because you were not positive enough in expressing your frustrations.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences. We appreciate your dedication to nVent over the last 10+ years. We're glad to hear you enjoyed working with your colleagues and the benefits we offered, but are saddened to learn that your experience overall wasn’t positive. We recognize that our global scope can indeed pose challenges, and we're continuously working on streamlining our processes. We understand the strain it can put on our teams, especially when systems feel manual and there's a need to balance various tasks. We're also taking note of your observations on management and site vs. Enterprise differences. If there is anything else you'd like to share, please send it to Feedback@nVent.com. Thanks again for your honesty – your input is invaluable and helpful in making us better!

I had a great onboarding experience - my manager was very prepared with a clear and useful onboarding plan. The people have been very welcoming and the company culture is great.

Cons

The company is growing rapidly, which presents natural challenges - but the overall experience has been very positive.

Pros

Great place to work. Very considerate of actual career and life experience rather than focusing on having a degree. Management really cares about your success personally and professionally. Top-notch focus on career development. Cohesive, cooperative teams. Fair base pay for experience, good health benefits, and decent flexibility.

Cons

Your experience will be deeply influenced by which location you work at and position you work in. The company has a good framework for inclusion but in reality there are unchecked local employees who make it very uncomfortable if you can't pass for right wing. Raises are inconsistent and don't seem to be determined by performance ratings. Despite having a good review every cycle, I haven't seen so much as a cost of living adjustment post - promotion.
