Unfortunately experiences and support are highly dependent on management and the actual departments perceived importance to doing business.
Certain departments get a lot of support and it's much easier to navigate and speak frankly. In some areas the processes and systems are manual, causing significant burn out without the chance for actually increasing head count more than just barely what is needed to keep your head above water.
Some management simply cannot prioritize and are so worried about upsetting people, the ability to complete something is very difficult for their employees.
Any improvements costing money are very slow to be approved and implemented.
The closer management gets to the C suite the more yes people are expected and looked for, so if you are dealing with burnout and voicing concerns after many years of the same results that is beyond your scope or better yet you simply don't have enough time to address due to all the manual work, be ready to be labeled difficult because you were not positive enough in expressing your frustrations.
