Pros

Good corporate culture "family style run"; great team; competent people;

Cons

At times over-communicating with higher management due to lack of developed management processes; strong emphasis on "stage performance" during project meetings with the C-suite; the AES MERGER (sPower ceased to exists, demotions, many employees left after, some even before the merger, culture changed rapidly)

Pros

Trust, honesty, and teamwork are embedded in the culture at sPower. I feel very supported in the business decisions that I make on a day-to-day basis. There's a ton of responsibility and autonomy, and I feel encouraged to succeed without worrying that a mistake here and there will sink my growth opportunities. I am extremely proud to work at sPower - it's innovative, fun, young, exciting, and I am energized to come into the office every day. Managers do a great job of looking out for their team. I've never worked somewhere that had such a successful atmosphere of constantly pushing each other to grow; I don't feel like I'm competing with teammates, which was a huge negative of my last company. I was really nervous about moving to SLC without knowing anyone, but my coworkers have become my closest friends, and we hang out frequently on weeknights and weekends. When it's crunch time and deadlines are imminent, you will work hard, and there can definitely be late nights. But I love that I'm able to take vacation without worrying that I need to check my email every 5 minutes. I see myself at sPower for a long time with the promising growth opportunities presenting themselves daily.

Cons

Would really love to move away from the idea that everyone needs to be at HQ in order for the company to succeed.
