Pros
The engineers were truly top-notch. Really, they were very fortunate to recruit the early engineers that they did. Cyriac is smart. He could sell salt water on a beach. The product may very well achieve a measure of success, despite the terrible engineering culture.
Cons
I accepted a 40% pay cut because I was excited about the product and wanted to work at a startup. That was idiotic. The engineering management was terrible, they would swoop in and micromanage and then ignore you for weeks or months at a time. There was no career growth or camaraderie or trust in individual engineers' domain expertise. This was the single worst year of my life, career-wise. All of the people I most liked and respected have since moved on. However, I still have stock there, so for that reason I truly hope they succeed. :P
