2yThank you for taking the time to share your reflections as well as your concerns. We appreciate the opportunity to hear your perspective and give us a chance to address these concerns in the company.
We have certainly been in a period of recalibration and we note your highlight of the need for more decisiveness, consistency and direction. This has been heard and read by our top management to take under their wing in addition to your perspective on bridging trust with our leaders. At the same time, our leadership team is strong, capable, experienced and diverse with a central aim to provide, care for and grow our colleagues and company. But bridging this gap of alignment between all colleagues and leadership is crucial and as you mention, important.
When it comes to your reflections on the overall trust and culture, this is definitely of top concern for us and something being monitored and worked on to build/strengthen. However, this takes time, so we need and plan to continue our energy here with initiatives in 2024 such as a focus of company efforts around internal communication and diving into our culture to strengthen it together (as culture isn’t something contrived). This is particularly critical when it comes to any feelings of fear and stress – we want to be a place of open and constructive dialogue from which we must grow.
Respect for our fellow colleagues is essential. Our Marketing has done incredible work in 2023 and have been crucial in our positive progress as a company. Yes, teams should always be open to constructive feedback as we pride ourselves on being a company that encourages sharing knowledge and learning from one another. However, we also must respect both the individuals and the areas of expertise. This is not something that comes with time at a company, but time with your field.
We strive to be the best at what we do whilst honouring the resources and capacity we have at hand. Your additional reflections are taken in stride and we certainly won’t turn a blind eye to improving the quality of all the things we do. So while we appreciate that this is an anonymous sharing platform, we always would appreciate the ability to continue the conversation should you be open to it – this is how we grow & learn. If so, please reach out to either your manager or another local leader that you feel comfortable with who can surface further concerns.
Thank you again for your reflections and for your 3-4 years that you have shared with us thus far, spreading knowledge and supporting our mission. We hope you see the positive impact of our continued actions to positively impact your experience and perspective.
