Good people, chaotic leadership - Manager uConnect (MA) Employee Review

People are nice and try to have a sense of community. I think everyone wants to do good and support /drive impact for students, but limitations in product.

Product was not as robust as it was said to be and lots of micromanagement

- Great team! The people are talented, supportive, and genuinely care about their work. Everyone pulls their own weight and makes a meaningful difference at the company. - uConnect’s mission is impactful and has the potential to drive real change in the Higher Education space, especially when so many students are questioning the value of Higher Ed. - With the right direction, the product could be a true leader in its space and a game changer for its clients.

- The CEO’s micromanagement and lack of trust create a disempowering environment where most senior leaders leave or are pushed out. - Many employees report feeling burnt out, overwhelmed, and the company culture continues to deteriorate since mid-2024. - Frequent changes, while typical of startups, are often disorganized and poorly communicated. Feels like we are always changing direction. - uConnect lacks the necessary infrastructure and support to execute its goals effectively. The product has potential, but just isn’t there and it feels like so many clients are cancelling.
