Pros

Most of the team I worked with I love, and will miss. But the high turn around means you don't work with the good people for long and are replaced with lazy untrained part timers who don't want to do the job properly. Some of the management I would conciser good friends of mine, but unfortunately the nicer the manager the more the GM abuses their good nature. The pay for me was the main reason I stayed for such a long time. NMW but could average £10-12 an hour. But you have to work the hardest shifts to get that. It is great for students who don't want a social life or holidays in-between uni.

Cons

Where do I start? A lot of what happens at Wagamama is unfair. There is no support system for the front of house team. Customers are allowed to talk to you like utter rubbish and are given free food afterwards! As T team, you are not a person, you are someone who they don't have to pay correctly, treat fairly, give breaks to, or conciser that you might have a life outside of wagamama. I have missed numerous family and friends special occasions because of this place! I had to to take 2 weeks off of work due to stress and the fact my doctor told me if I carry on working at this place I will start getting serious health problems. This actually happened to a colleague of mine who worked with me at wagamama, who got very seriously ill but the management didn't care and kept working them to the bone! It is not healthy to work 10-12 hours day in, day out. open a restaurant and close a restaurant. Your body and mind can't do it for too for long until something has to give. Not only are you working your body to the limit on one or maybe two meals a day. The constant put downs and rudeness to customers eats away to your self confidence. Sleazy GM's who only want to hire female obedient meek staff. as soon as he hears you have a partner he wont give you any help and support. Hospitality is a hard business and will never be a good industry to work unless you're very high up. But they need to make it easier on their team, who they expect so much from but don't give anything back. You look after the team. The restaurant looks after it's self. Simple.

Pros

Corporate setting with systems in place When I first started the company culture was great, everyone loved going into work

Cons

Although systems are in place, things don't work half the time, whether it's IT or equipments. Lackluster communications between all departments, making the day to day in operations more difficult than it should be.
