      Startup for sure, but good people

      Pros

      - I feel respected in my domain - Most (see cons) of my teammates are great people and strong in their domains - We get to move fast - When leadership respects you; you receive a lot of autonomy - I have a lot of autonomy

      Cons

      - We had some really toxic individuals on the team in 2023 and it got in the way of enjoying my work. They try to blame leadership for everything, but refuse to look in the mirror. - Changes in priorities make it difficult to know how to best prioritize my time

      My hindsight take

      Pros

      I grew a lot as a professional while in this role, but in the end decided to take an entirely new direction in my career. I had a great relationship with the founders and still believe they're going to build a huge business. I felt close with my teammates and learned a lot from them. I was empowered to make decisions on my own and ultimately had a lot of autonomy.

      Cons

      Things were very chaotic. I wish there were more structure to the business and our major processes. While I was there, the previous COO ran things with very minimal process so people didn't really understand what was going on, who owned what, and how we were performing. We were remote, which added to the chaos. Again, it's a startup, so none of this should be surprising, but it favors those that can create their own structure.
