Pros

There's a variety of places to work in. Young employee base make things more interesting Plenty of shift opportunities if you're able to do them. High level of flexibility. Get fed during breaks.

Cons

There's an incredibly smiley and cheerful attitude presented by the people who train you and the people who book you into shifts but it's incredibly disingenuous given some horribly questionable practices: The shifts demand a lot from you but this isn't reflected in the pay at all. I'd understand if the pay was around £ 8 per hour but its very little above minimum wage. I'm certain a large cut of agency fees are taken from staff. Incredibly stressful, you constantly have to put forward a cheerful and engaged front for hours at a time with orders barked at you constantly at the service of rich clients who barely acknowledge your existence. The team leaders are more often than not people who are rude or dismissive towards you and treat you little better than cattle. Serious levels of entitlement and ruthlessness at play. You're expected to keep track of the many different things you need to do for a shift at once which can get horribly confusing after a while. You're not made to feel like you can ask questions as the people in charge are pretty unapproachable. Everything about the work you do is treated as if it is of the utmost importance but this isn't reflected in the pay. Many shifts involve you standing in place holding a heavy tray of drinks long enough for your arms to get incredibly tired and painful. Constant calls bugging you for shifts that don't take into consideration travel times or costs. I've started ignoring them for the most part ever since I was asked to work for some questionable clients. Expected to pay for your own uniform and even some equipment necessary to perform the job.
