Unequal distribution of work. A lower rank staff is doing more work. Or a lower rank staff needs to do his/her supervisor work and yet be penalised for not doing a good job. The supervisor mostly do not hands on, only need to review/comment/criticise. When things don't go well, supervisor don't take responsibility. Instead, push the blame to the preparer. Perhaps this is the reason why supervisor refuses to hands on. Supervisor also expects you to know everything even its not within your pay grade. Most importantly, supervisor is selfish. Own plans come first and dont share. Then ask subordinates to cancel their plans (eg travelling) when schedule clashes.
